I have seen some really beautiful photos of mommas and their babies on Pinterest and I knew that if I didn't take any with Solomon at a young age that I would really regret it later on. Luckily I am a "Mom with a fancy camera", with a husband highly trained in exposure and photography:). He was kind enough to spend the evening toting our son and an old barrel around a field full of grasshoppers, chiggers and ticks to get some really beautiful shots of us! Everything was perfect: the light, the field, the weather and Solomon was acting great too! I would say that 95% of all photos of me that I post on my blog have been retouched to shave off a good 15 pounds from me and I am very happy to admit that I didn't "doctor" these at all! I've lost 35 pounds now and am only 15 away from pre-pregnancy weight! Thank you LORD! I thought I would be the person on the Biggest Loser a few years from now thinking that I wouldn't lose the 50-60 pounds that I gained during pregnancy, but these post pregnancy hormones are KILLER and I'm taking full advantage of them. Here are the photos that Josh took for me... Solomon is 6 1/2 weeks old now.

Last day! Did I mention that I got my lovely summer tan back while I was in Lubbock? The last day was another full day of swimming and relaxing with my family before Solomon and I made the absolutely PERFECT trip home alone the next day. We drove for 7 1/2 hours and Sol didn't start crying until we were IN the Stillwater city limits! It was awesome.

Jackson is very good at Tae Kwon Do!

Mom, Tim and all of the Grands!

Another day full of swimming and living it up with all of the relatives! First off, Solomon met his future wife # 1 (He has three choices so far: Camille, Scarlette and Selah) and they went on a swimming date in which Solomon tired out halfway through... introducing Scarlette..

Aunt Robbie came over to hold Solomon for a while, we had lots of family and friends come to meet him. It was nice to be so social this trip to Lubbock!

Great Gigi with all of the great grands on my mom's side... it didn't turn out too well...

The Lee's with Great Gigi

Four generations and my son is doing what he does best...

We went to Joyland that evening and had a blast! Josh calls it "Deathland" and Jackson now knows why, he wasn't a fan of Joyland.

Erica Sledge:
You probably think I'm a freak stalker but I just had to comment again on this one...JOYLAND?! HAHAHA. That place was so fun when I was a kid. I remember thinking it was like Six Flags. Sheesh!

It was another lazy day of swimming and this time it was with Solomon's other cousins, River and Jonah.

My brother, Chris, and my mom held Solomon for me while I took photos of Great Gigi (my Grandma) playing the piano with Jocelyn.

Erica Sledge:
Aw. These piano shots make me think of my own grandmother. :) So awesome, Lauren.

Our second day in Lubbock was pretty packed with events! We all woke up and mom had a huge breakfast ready for is before going to church with her and Tim, then we all went swimming again, went to get ice cream with my dad, rode horses at Aleene's Stables (mom and Tim's 40 acres) and finished off the day spending time with my Grandma. It was a great day with lots of fun memories!

I wish more than anything that I would have had pictures done of us together. You are super lucky to have these AND that your hubbie is so willing to take them for you. Wish I could convince my man to do them! LOL
